Summer Fun Begins Part 1

Summer started in a whirlwind, but is now calming down. It started with Bekah, Evie, and Ellie being in town to visit. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures from it because my camera battery was not charged, and of course each night I forgot to charge it. So you will have to check Bekah's blog for those when she updates her's. The day after they left we got ready to go see Matt's sister Kait in Denver, and the following day we left for Denver. We were there for 4 days and were able to see a lot of Kait and her boyfriend Mark, and we got to see Michelle's aunt and uncle and some of our friends, Annie, Chad, and their little boy Luke who is 11 days younger then Mikayla. Then we came back for a few days, in which Matt worked basketball camps, and then we were off to camp with my parents, which will be in the next blog.

Here Mikayla is enjoying a summer day with her Aunt Juju and daddy. Mama was taking the picture.
When we were in Denver, we ate 2 nights at Pizza Republica. It is a restaurant that Mark had just opened in the Landmark District (that is what I think it is called) 3 weeks earlier. It is delicious!!! You should definitely go. I highly recommend the green salad, pizza rustica, tiramisu, and nutella gelato. In this picture is Kait, Mark, Mikayla (with her eyes close), Michelle and Matt.
On a walk with Aunt Kait in a beautiful park in Denver. Aunt Kait's dog was a big hit with Mikayla since she loves dogs, and she "helped" walk Branson.

At breakfast with Uncle Larry and Aunt Camelia.

Mikayla refused to look at the camera for a picture with Luke. So at least Luke looked at it. This is after dinner when both kids were starting to lose it because they were tired. Then Mikayla saw Luke's toys, and she was energized to explore them.
